So you’ve developed a concept for your, no doubt, award winning video. Excellent! Make your way through this handy dandy list of reminders to be sure your video aligns with our rules. Five minutes of prep time now is much better than getting a tragic call that we can’t accept your video later. Sad day!

 

  • Check your video length and edit, edit, edit. Submitted videos must be shorter than four (4) minutes in length.
     
  • Keep your filthy potty mouth off camera. We will not accept videos with profane or offensive language.
     
  • Your video must be original. Don’t recreate a famous script or rinse and re-use a video you’ve already made for another project/contest.
     
  • Your video must pertain to some sort of customer service interaction handled via the use of technology (by phone, web chat, email, voice response system, etc.). Face-to-face customer service scenarios will not be accepted.
     
  • Everyone in your video must be 18 years of age. If you can grow a beard at 16 we’re impressed, but you still can’t enter. Sorry!
     
  • If you’re an employee, partner, reseller, consultant or analyst for Interactive Intelligence or the immediate family of said parties, your video is not eligible. We appreciate your enthusiasm!
     
  • Contest deadline is March 15, 2010. Can you beat the buzzer?
     
  • Upload and submit! To submit your video simply upload it to a YouTube account then submit your video using the “Submit” tab on this website.
     
  • Don’t forget to send us your Personal Release form. The release form link is emailed to you upon submitting your video and can also be downloaded from www.OIVideoContest.com. Remember, no release form, no entry.
     
  • Don’t kill two birds with one stone. (PETA™ frowns upon it.) But really, once you’ve submitted your video, it becomes property of Interactive Intelligence. Do not try to pedal it for another contest.
